I didn't expect much from this projector. We bought it specifically for a video/slide show for a family anniversary. It gets the job done, but not the best buy. If you're seriously looking at a projector for regular use, this isn't the one for you. It'll get you by for a one-off thing, but you do get what you pay for with this unit.
If you want to use their video player, you are limited to a file size of less than 4 gb. We found this out while trying to get our 4.3gb video to work. We could get around this by using an hdmi cable from our laptop to the device, so it's basically just screen sharing. Irritating, but ok we can deal with that.
The focus is pretty bad on it. You can either have it completely focused at the top, center, or bottom. Obviously you're gonna land at center focus, but the edges are quite noticeably blurred. Again, you get what you pay for.
Can't comment on the audio because we couldn't get it to use the built in speaker while running an hdmi cable. We used the jack to run an external speaker to get around this.
The remote is a useless piece of plastic that they send with the box. Don't count on it working.
With the negative out of the way, I will say that for the price it got the job done. We could play our video and slide show. Just be aware of what you're getting into when you buy this. And weigh the options of buying something a bit better quality.
This brand is buying reviews by offering a rebate, they keep your address and mail a letter a bit after the product arrives. I did not choose to do this. However, this was such a fun buy and I really enjoy using it. My family has older tvs but I wanted to show them the movie knives out specifically, because it's fantastic. I thought I could get a cheap projector and use a chromecast or laptop with it to show movies and videos when I visit. We have had several movie nights and we all love it. Picture is good, better than I expected even with some light on. The edges get a bit of a blurry because Im not great at adjusting it since I use a stool and some books and not a stand. I hook a chromecast and aux to a speaker and it's fantasic. Wouldn't rely on the internal speaker. You can use a light colored wall, sheet, or poster board taped together as a back drop. My only issue I've had is sometimes my chromecast buggs out, I guess they don't always like projectors and can unexpectedly restart or get in a restart loop but it usually sorts itself out. The case, remote, and cords that come with it are wonderful and more than I expected. I've had this about 6 months and I would buy another for friends, or myself when it's life ends. Usually projectors have a limited lifespan due to the bulb.
