Édition après plus de 6 mois d'utililsation :

Au fil du temps j'ai de plus en plus de problèmes avec l'écran qui devient noir pendant 2-3 secondes et réaffiche l'image. Je pensais que ça irait, mais c'est vraiment gênant quand on veut allumer le pc, jouer à un jeu compétitif, et que ça le fait durant la partie. J'ai contacté le SAV Asus, et ils n'arrêtent pas de me répondre en me disant de faire des manipulations sur Windows, ou bien en me disant que c'est le cable d'alimentation qui est mal branché. En gros, le service client Asus est NUL, donc pour le moment je ne recommande plus l'article, du temps qu'ils aient fixé convenablement mon problème. C'est dommage car sans ce problème, il serait quasi parfait.

Ce moniteur, je l'attendais depuis à moment. Venant d'un Benq xl2411p correct, c'est le jour et la nuit.

Les plus :
- La dalle IPS procure de belles couleurs, contrairement aux dalles TN. Si vous voulez un moniteur de jeu mais aussi pour pouvoir l'utiliser quotidiennement, c'est agréable.
- 280hz : c'est vraiment super smooth, venant d'un 144hz, on voit vraiment la différence (ceux disent qu'il n'y en a pas mentent ou n'en ont jamais utilisé). Même sans activer le blur reduction, 280hz c'est assez élevé pour ne pas avoir trop de flous de mouvement. Je n'utilise pas l'adaptive sync, car je joue surtout à des jeux compétitifs.
- L'ergonomie et la qualité de fabrication : je ne m'attendais pas moins de Asus, on peut le tourner dans tous les sens. Le moniteur est beau et bien construit.
- L'OSD : plein de paramètres pour pouvoir le configurer comme il faut.

Les moins :
- Parfois, après que l'écran s'allume ou revient de veille, il se peut que l'écran devienne noir puis revient à la normal (serait-ce du à l'overclocking en 280hz). Ca me le fait 1 fois puis plus rien.
- Trop d'overshooting en overdrive 100 : pour atteindre 1ms de temps réponse, il faut mettre l'overdrive à 100. Trop de ghosting avec ce paramètre. en 80, plus de ghosting mais c'est toujours assez rapide.
- La petite diode qui montre que l'écran est allumé, et bien elle éclaire pas beaucoup !

C'est vraiment un super écran gamer, mais aussi à l'aise avec d'autre utilisation. J'ai fait pas mal de recherche sur les derniers écrans IPS 240hz+, et je suis plus que satisfait d'avoir pris celui là, même si le MSI Optix MAG251RX est plus rapide (voir forum blurbusters), a de meilleurs couleurs (possibilité d'avoir 10 bits en couleurs), j'ai préféré celui ci car plus sobre et meilleur ergonomie. J'avais envisagé aussi le Alienware AW2520HF, mais apparemment c'est le moins bon des trois.

Au final, pour ceux qui jouent à des jeux compétitifs et qui peuvent atteindre plus de 280 fps, sans pour autant sacrifier le côté utilisation bureautique, foncez !

Es el segundo que compro de esta marca pero sinceramente no es lo que esperaba, el otro fue más caro pero lo vale, este para empezar los colores son pobres, por las que le muevo las opciones no se ve bien, los hz tengo mis dudas, creo que no soporta gsync o al menos nunca encontré nada que dijera que realmente lo soporta. Revisando la página del fabricante solo habla de freesync pero de gsync en ningún lado lo indica. La base donde el otro monitor enciende de color rojo este solo tienen un plástico se ese color pero no tiene luz, bastante malo el detalle para mí gusto, el brazo que soporta el monitor es más débil y fue un logro meter el displayport por el brazo para que quede oculto no pude meter el cable de luz por lo reducido del espacio.

Creo que fue una mala compra, también note que de lado pierde el color a pesar de tener un ángulo de 178 de visión, las bocinas son una broma no se escuchan aunque tengas todo el volumen, tal vez si no hubiera comprado el otro monitor podría decir que este es regular pero sinceramente al comprarlos esta muy por debajo, mi antiguo monitor Asus tiene mejor colores que esté, solo lo compré porque quería más hz pero al comprar con mi otro monitor de los mismos hz clonar las pantallas y poner un juego, este monitor no tuvo la misma calidad y hasta dudo que tenga los 165 hz porque notaba muy entrecortada la imagen. No lo recomiendo mejor compra algo de más calidad

- Good color accuracy out of the box. Didn't have to adjust much other than the obscenely high brightness that every monitor seems to come with nowadays.
- ELMB is surprisingly good even though it seems to lock the overdrive. If I had to guess it would be overdrive 60 since it's the default setting of the monitor. I had only heard bad things about ELMB from reviews on other models so I was glad to see it's at least a little bit useful here.
- No grainy text or anything of that sort that plagued a couple of 24" models from the previous year.
- Menu is easy to navigate and the OSD joystick is of good quality.
- Really good heavy stand that can pivot, rotate, and height adjust.
- The speakers are well, monitor speakers. If you've heard monitor speakers, you've mostly heard them all. Can't expect much from 4 total watts. The option is there though.

Also I'm not sure if this is a feature on every 240hz monitor since this is my first one but I found it interesting that Windows registered the panel as 10 bit color when below 240hz. For the people worried about 60hz performance, sorry. I don't have any equipment or the knowledge to give specific numbers. All I can say is that when I played on my PS4/Switch I didn't notice any excess input lag.

All in all I highly recommend the monitor if you're on the lookout for a 240hz panel. The price ($319) is incredible for such a high quality gaming monitor. I tried a 1440p monitor and didn't think the performance hit was worth the minuscule fidelity gain. If you're looking for a monitor you'll strictly use for gaming/browsing, I really think you're better off sticking with the tried and true 24"/1080p combo so that you can utilize higher frame rates and not have to worry about messing with Windows scaling to have easily readable text. If you need the extra space of higher resolutions for multi-tasking then probably know what you want. Everyone has different needs so I'll just shut up and end this crappy review here.

Edit: Since reviews for this model seem to have been consolidated with a bunch of other models, this is for VG259QM. I know it should say above the review but I want to point it out here just in case someone misses it and expects the wrong thing from another model.

Es una lástima que tenga esas fugas de luz, el monitor es muy bueno para videojuegos, los colores son demasiado buenos. La verdad es que estoy muy decepcionado con Asus porque a estas alturas no es posible que compres un artículo de importación y no puedas hacer valida una garantía en cualquier parte donde ellos tengan presencia, eso déjalo a marcas chicas o a hace 10 años, pero ahorita no veo cuál es el problema no es como que el ensamblaje sea exclusivo de cada país, vienen del mismo lugar todos, es inaceptable tener que lidiar con esos problemas y las garantías que en vez de ayudar solo perjudican al consumidor. No volveré a comprar un artículo de esa marca la verdad es que es muy decepcionante su forma de dar “solución”
Tengan cuidado porque si tienen fallas y es de importación no podrán hacer mucho. Amazon tuvo retraso en el envío pero es normal porque se atravesó en ese momento una tormenta en la frontera, la verdad es que nunca he tenido problema. Ya se hizo la devolución y estoy en espera del reembolso.
