Gold standard VR gear for full body tracking
Reviewed in Canada on 29 August 2020Verified Purchase
Used these with Oculus Quest on ALVR to play SteamVR games with wireless full body tracking, synced using openvr space calibrator. Works decently as designed.
Comes with the dongle, with is currently irreplaceable as it's virtually unavailable for separate purchase everywhere. Don't let your dog eat it! Mount this high for best connectivity, spaced at least a few inches apart if you have multiple. They run on USB2 and I have a single powered usb2 hub supporting 7 of them. According to reports, don't use USB3 cables near these as they may leak radiation that interferes with the tracker's signal.
Only wish for a modestly longer battery life, or easily replaceable batteries. The limitation for that is size and weight, but this device is so light it feels like an empty plastic shell, and could really stand to have a 50-100% larger battery crammed into it.
Protip: Pick up a USB charger and some USB-micro cables at the same time. It comes with a cable but that's for the dongle, so you'll need another own for charging. Plugging them into a small external battery pack in a pocket also works for keeping them alive longer during a VR session.

They do their job.
Reviewed in Canada on 24 September 2020Verified Purchase
I now have 6 trackers. My old trackers battery life was dwindling. Definitely would advise against using track straps with batteries attached (not using name brands here), or battery packs in general. Charging them while playing is what caused my old ones battery life to wear. Theyre probably at 75% battery life. I now swap between the two sets. Seem to be doing much better now. I’d advise getting two sets of three if you can afford it.

Great Tracking, Poor Functionality
Reviewed in Canada on 27 December 2020Verified Purchase
The tracking is awesome and very accurate. The issue is the functionality. Sometimes the trackers will just refuse to turn on, at which point you have to plug them into the USB cable to force them to turn on. Since it's already quite the pain to strap into all the VR stuff and this just tends to add another level of frustration to the whole thing.
Another issue is sometimes software is smart enough to know where you've placed the trackers. Sometimes, however, software requires that you define each tracker to a specific location on your body. If you have a number of trackers it becomes tedious to figure out the correct ones for the correct locations, so you may want to label them. A simple LED display on the trackers would have resolved this.
The number of dongles that software supports will vary, but they will support at least three. I recommend purchasing three at max unless you are sure the software you want to use can utilize more of them.
Finally, they are not smart enough to use different dongles on the fly. So you have to make sure to plug in all the dongles to make sure it will see the ones you're using.

Really expensive
Reviewed in Canada on 16 February 2021Verified Purchase
If you are already here you probably want something like full body tracking. If you have the money and you can justify it with the amount of time you play in VR I would say go for it.
If you are still on the fence and you don't need it wait for the alternatives that will soon come out. Otherwise very surreal experience you will fall in love with VR all over again.

Amazing
Reviewed in Canada on 7 June 2019Verified Purchase
I really love VR and to use all my body (fullbody) in VR was an amazing experience. The tracking on the hips probably needs a bit of adjusting to. I started to put the hip tracker on my belly but people told me that I was doing it wrong and I ended up stretching my strap when I did that so I Always put them on my hips now. It was just comfy on my belly so yeah.. But yeah, packaging was good, setting it up was a bit confusing but I ended up doing it in like an hour. Great experience though!
