With this novel, Mark has lifted himself head and shoulders above your run-of-the-mill adventure teller. This is someone who is, in my opinion, up there with Le Carré, Baldacci, Lee Child and who outshines the likes of Clive Cussler. The writing is lean, pared down; there is no superfluity here. Every word is chosen carefully for effect and the tale takes on its own life. You can see, hear, even smell the Berlin that Mark writes about.
Does that sound like I like it! You better believe I do. Riveting stuff.
