My four year old love this story. The book is big size and being all hard board is a plus for little kids. I can see my kid using this book and later passing it on to someone else without any damage. One tip: I search and play videos of these stories and if my kid shows a bit of interest then I buy the books. so far it has worked with many story books that we have selected and bought.
What person of any age dosn't love and Eric Carle book, I am pretty sure everyone knows who he is and has read at least one of his books I am a huge fan and of course The Very Hungry Caterpillar is my favourite of all his wonderful books.

What is it with this book? This is the all time, number one greatest book my daughter has got. Its something about the artwork and the holes (from the caterpillar munching) that fascinates her. I have to read the same page to her hundreds of times.... hundreds I tell you!
3.0 out of 5 starsLovely book, but not a great quality version.

It’s a lovely book, my six month old granddaughter absolutely loves it. I bought the same book for my daughter when she was a baby, and the book was bigger then, I could fit my finger in the holes to mimic the caterpillar - an important part of the storytelling. Can’t do it with this one, holes are minuscule. Also, teething babies produce a lot of dribble. Even though I’ve rigorously cleaned the book, the pages have stuck together, and the print has damaged. Shame it’s not of the quality it was all those years ago. Regardless, and wonderful story thy infants enjoy time and time again.
We love Eric Carle’s books and this one is a classic. The art work is amazing. Engages both babies and adults but is so educational at the same time ! Teaches your counting, days f the week, names of fruits, life cycle of a butterfly and so much more! My son loves reading books and this one is one of his favourites. This book comes with us to drives, restaurants, shopping or whenwe go to meet friends. Do check out other books of Eric Carle’s - brown bear brown bear what do you hear and polar bear polar bear what do you see. A must buy for children.
Just like the book Goodnight Moon, my kid has loved this book since he was 3 months old. I've gifted this quite a few times to kids ranging from 6 months to 1.5 years and invariably they love it.
Tiny! Not at all happy with size. Need to make it clear that it is a miniature version of the book. Couldn't be bothered to send it back as we needed a book for the little ones birthday. Burdened with an unwanted book but it is ok she was still chuffed to bits with it
