Fits My Razor Gen II WITH sun shade

I was looking for a cover that would fit my Vortex Razor Gen II 4.5-27x56 scope WITH the sun shade attached and this one fits the scope with or without the sunshade perfectly. I also like the pull tabs on each end that give you something to stretch the cover as you attach to or remove from the scope. I gave up on flip up lens caps that get in the way during PRS matches.

Vortex XL states up to 16” but it does work on 17” too.

Ordered the XL to try on my Vortex Diamondbacks with the sunshade on them. Fit like a glove. Scope measures 17 inches long with sunshade attached. Vortex advertises them for up To 16 inches but it does fit 17 as well. This replaced the standard scope cover (plastic caps with elastic straps) that came with one scope and the rubber straps that came with another. I didn’t want the sunshade to stretch out the stock covers and render them useless without the sunshade attached. Quality product and offers a quick detach when needed. This cover will be used to stop dust accumulation during storage, to eliminate turrets from being accidentally moved, and during poor weather hunting conditions while afield to ensure a quick shot without cleaning my lenses.

Not bad, but could be better

Bought the XL, cause that's what Votex said I need for the scope I have. Originally the fit was sloppy and loose. Don't like the way it fits at all. Once I put the 3" sun shade adapter on the front of the scope, the fit is tighter and better. But with out the extension, the fit is sloppy. I had a Crooked Horn with my other scope and loved it. Might still search for one of those for when I don't want the extension. Vortex could make a better cover personally.
