Product description

Colour:White

The WALI projector ceiling mount is attractive, strong and light weight. Durable black finish comes with the latest design in safety, flexibility and value for many of today's most popular LCD projectors. No-Slip adjustment system allows you to quickly and easily fine tune your projector adjustments in order to achieve a perfectly square image. Once your projector is adjusted, it will stay true for as long as you require it to. The unique arm designed arms allows the safe installation for expensive projectors, and it offers adjustment for width and depth, giving maximum versatility for a wide variety of projectors. The mounting system comes with everything you need to assemble a complete mount in a single box. By using the included telescoping ceiling mask, this mount extends from the ceiling 16.9" to 25.6". How can I determine if this mount will fit my projector? Projectors may have 3 or 4 threaded holes for ceiling mount. First make sure that the projector does not exceed the 44lb weight limit. Next, find out the maximal diagonal of the holes. It should not be over 17.5". In other words, if the maxim distance of any 2 holes is not more than 17.5", then the mount should fit fine.

The mount is a very good value and comes with everything you'll need to install yourself.

I have not yet hidden the cables (in the arm), as I'm waiting on my electrician to finish the inlet box behind my AV system so I can run the power to this after using a surge protector and UPS.

The one thing about this arm which gives me pause (perhaps it shouldn't, or perhaps I missed something!), is that the only thing which appears to prevent the inner tube from slipping from the outer tube (and dropping my projector to the floor!) is a single clamp - circled in red in the attached photo. I've certainly got it tightened down well, but I'd feel more comfortable with a bolt or something through there. I'm considering hooking up a steel cable from the plate on the ceiling to the apparatus attached to my projector. Thoughts on this???

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Bang for the Buck!!
Reviewed in the United States on 1 February 2017
The mount is very heavy - heavier than the projector. It seems well-constructed and is definitely worth 5 stars for being only $15! When I opened the package, there were so many parts and pieces that I set the whole thing aside for a few days thinking it was going to take me forever to figure it out. I didn't even use most of the pieces because they're in the box so that you have the ability to fit this thing on any size projector you want. If you plan to thread your wires through the ceiling, there's a nifty way to hide the cables in the mount via the instructions.

In the photos I've included, you can see that there are different sized legs with multiple holes in each so that you can adjust the length to reach the mounts on the underside of your projector. There are four legs of each of the three sizes. I thought our projector was pretty big, but there must be larger ones out there because we used three of the middle sized leg and only one of the longest legs.

We followed the instruction booklet with a few exceptions. First, after assembly my husband drilled a 5/32 hole through one side of both the interior and exterior parts of the metal to act as a back up to keep them from separating and dropping the projector (while my husband felt sure that it would hold, I didn't like that the only thing keeping this from dropping is the tension of a single screw). He then drilled a 11/64 hole through the hole he'd just made in the exterior piece of metal only so that he could put in a tiny screw to make sure that the projector couldn't fall (in the photo I'm pointing to where we added a screw). The difference in hole sizes makes it easier to get the screw to line up with both pieces of metal and the inner metal hole will keep the screw held tight. The second thing we did was to make sure to drill this sucker into a wooded beam in the attic because I don't trust sheetrock screws when I'm sitting underneath something heavy. The final thing we did differently was to use a 10mm wrench (not included in the kit) to tighten the bolts after the projector was hung and keep the projector from bouncing left and right.

So this is the second one I’ve ordered. The first I sent back. The second one says it’s 360.
It is not. The picture of the item is not the same as the item I received. It’s similar but does not rotate 360, which is pretty important to get it to line up to your screen.
Also, the machining is wayyyyy off on a few bolts and screws which wouldn’t be a big deal if the thing swiveled 360 degrees like is posted! I was supposed to have this installed a couple weeks ago but after buying two sending back and reordering, I’ve run out of time. This could be a nice mount. Could be. If I can rig it someway, I will keep it but that is doubtful!
The pics I post will be of the item pics vs. what I really received and the out of square mount.
