To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The seal on the box was broken and one of the leads didn't work. When I did charge them they stayed lit for a couple of hours before dimming and going out - nothing like the claimed run time. I strongly suspect I have been sent a previously returned item. Well, needless to say, it's now being returned again.
Speedy delivery and very easy to install. Five stars for these. Only one star for brightness. They are fine if you just want them for mood lighting, but I bought these specifically as under cupboard lights in my kitchen. Unfortunately they do not help at all. Back to the drawing board and these lights will have to be moved where a decent light is not needed. Shame, as I was so hopeful that these would do the job.
As for the brightness these are great for using in short lengths of time, however the battery life really isn't great lasting about an hour on full brightness so if you want them to read in bed I would recommend something else. Another very annoying feature is the magnet isn't strong enough and after a couple of clicks I find myself constantly knocking them off.
I installed 4 of these lights in my kitchen. I put them beneath the upper units to illuminate the work surfaces. Installation is simple; an adhesive magnetic pad is attracted to a metal disc on the light and holds it firmly in place. There is good illumination and the lights are easy to recharge with the leads provided. A helpful red light shows that charging is taking place. The lights last 6 hours on full illumination, but recharging is so simple that this is not an issue. These are stylish lights which don't need the expense of replacement batteries. Recommended.
Bought a pack of 2 for the mancave. No power in the mancave so these battery powered, micro usb lights, looked worth a pop at the price.
They are great. They run for about 4 hours on max light. You can easily dim them if you want to. The light itself attaches to a small mirrored magnet. The magnet is backed by an adhesive sponge. You pull the tape off the sponge on the back of the mirrored magnet and affix the magnet to anything, in my case, a wooden beam. Then pop the light up to the magnet and it stays in place.
You get a spare magnet per light so can reposition if you don't like where you first put your light. In a 12 foot x 12 foot room, 1 pack of 2 works great. I've bought an additional pack so I can have 2 charging and 2 working. (I charge from a separately purchased usb portable battery pack which probably everybody has these days, mine can output at 5W).
It would have cost me a few hundred at least to run a spur off the house and down the garden, all that trench digging and faff, buying 4 cost £30 and they are just a great solution for me, doubling as a torch and after 4 months use the lights and the magnets are good as new, really good product.
I Originally bought these as stair night lights for my son however, I have put these in my 2 storage cupboards that have no lights, I found I was having to recharge them all the time when being used as night lights but as cupboard lights, I’ve charged once and they’re still bright as ever. Very impressed
Don't know why there's a question about motion detection??
I bought these for my elderly in-laws to provide easy accessed light during the night. I mounted one each side of their bed.
If I were to improve the product I would make the on off touch button more obvious even adding low illumination in the dark. Also the mounting contact relies on a magnetic plate; the unit can be easily be dislodged while fumbling to switch the light on or off; a strong velcrose might be a better option.
This is a well designed and presented product, the on and off facility eliminates the requirement for battery emptying motion detectors. Magnetic mounts are excellent. As a former electrical products designer I am full of admiration for this Ease of fitting, battery life, ease of control and brightness of the light. am buying two more for dark cupboards
No motion detection so not sure why that’s a review option... but these are BRILLIANT touch lights! We use them as hall lights. Quick and easy to charge, can be dimmed right down low, or at max brightness by holding your finger down on the on/off switch. I bought them on prime day at around half price, absolute bargain! Waiting for them to drop again so I can buy more and use them for different things...
