I bought these to wear under a dress and they serve that purpose well. The fabric is stretchy and slick, so it won’t show any lines. I bought a pair of stretchy cotton “biker short” style shorts as well and much preferred the quality of these. These are a thin material which is great for not showing any lines and providing a subtle smoothing effect, but don’t expect them to work magic like Spanxx. Pay attention to the inseam length in the photo as these were almost too long for my dress which was above the knee but definitely not a “mini” length.
I am always looking for a good pair of these type of underwear. I have a couple that a more compression an d hold your stomach in more but i wanted some that were just comfy and DID NOT RIDE OR ROLL UP MY THIGHS. I have big thighs and the chaffing is always an issue. These are perfect. They are high enough that they are smooth over your stomach but aren’t ultra compression or tight and they stay put all day! I’ll be buying more.
I used these shorts as my unders for a dance performance. I don't like the short booty shorts because I have thicker legs and hate the rub. These were perfect. They're not like spanx that will.suck you in but they were very smoothing and weren't tight.
I agree with other reviewers that they do work well for smoothing but I would have liked a bit more support in the tummy area. These are the first pair of these types of shorts that I have not had to yank on the leg part all day long. Literally forgot I was wearing them!
When they are as intended they are great, they don't show, they are light weight so they don't make you feel like you are hot and sweaty. But they DO ride up. For that reason I only gave this product 1 star. I constantly had to adjust them; which isn't always possible when you're in public. Especially since once I adjusted them they just rode up a minute later. The bottom of the shorts really should have something to ensure these don't ride up and stay where they should instead.
