My new, updated, quality, excellent and incredible LEGO Star Wars Anakin's Jedi Interceptor item.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 August 2020Verified Purchase
I want to say that I have had my independent time of being able to construct my new and updated LEGO Star Wars Anakin's Jedi Interceptor item on 7th August 2020.
I used a large booklet containing a total of one hundred and eleven step by step instructions and I have enjoyed my experience of completing this item.
In addition, I have used three numbered bags to assemble this impressive Interceptor from the beginning until the end and I didn't find it hard to follow them.
In short, I was confident of doing this challenge, the instructions helped me, I applied my eight stickers to my LEGO Star Wars Anakin's Jedi Interceptor item and I was not frustrated.
Aside from that, the two mini-figures of Anakin Skywalker and R2-D2 are incredible.
The accessories of Anakin's blue lightsabre and three green shooters are fantastic.
You can acquire your imagination or your time to play with this item and there's nothing wrong with it.
The Interceptor has a revamped design from its predecessors and there are four wing flaps which can fold out for attack mode.
The Anakin Skywalker minifigure is able to sit in the opening cockpit of the Interceptor, plus the R2-D2 LEGO droid figure can be sat or adjacent towards the rear wing.
A spare ammo clip can be found under the compact Interceptor’s wing to attach Anakin's lightsabre and it's there for back-up or for when not in use.
I should note that the measurements for the LEGO Star Wars Anakin's Jedi Interceptor item are 2.5 inches (6 cm) high, 6.5 inches (19 cm) long and 7.5 inches (17 cm) wide.
For added excitement, fans can pilot the vehicle in the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga video game.
Lastly, there are a selection of different LEGO Star Wars items for Summer 2020 that are available to purchase.
See attached photographs.

As a big fan of the Clone Wars my son has been asking for an Anakin figure to add to his expanding Lego Star Wars collection. Luckily Lego not only produces sets related to new movie or TV series material and some sets each year that refer to the prequel and Clone Wars material. Also as the set its a little older now I could get it for a good price.
The built of the 248-piece set was not very demanding. My son could do it without any help from my side. The instructions are quite clear as always. The only tricky part is the fair amount of stickers that have to be put on the inside of the wing flaps. But also there are some unnecessary tiny stickers for outside deco, where one wonders why these could be printed (like the Republicing logo that has to be stuck on a single 1x1 round dot.. )
The completed intercept is compact but quite pleasing. The cockpit mechanisms works well. And I’m quite amazed that the R2 figure actually fits in. The included missiles are nice, but they always tend to shoot in a direction where you don't want them to go and then you'll have to look fro them..
In terms of the two included mini figures, the set is a little disappointing; there is only Anakin that is crucial to my son’s battles and that I we need desperately. But we have plenty fo R2 figures already.
Now I’ll have to find the matching red Obi Wan interceptor. Unfortunately there has not been a re-release in the The Force Wakens Line, so these command a reasonably steep price on the secondary market.

Fantastic!

Absolutely fantastic model! Just like the one I used to have when I was younger except with a full body of R2-D2! Now to get my hands on an Obi-wan Kenobi version!
Simple enough to build. Took me less than an hour and looks great when completed. My only nitpicks would be that the cockpit shell doesn't close very securely and Anakin's hair comes off pretty easily. However the hold underneath for the spare "laser" and lightsaber is a nice touch.

A fantastic set overall, my only gripe is the reused Duel On Mustafar Anakin.

A great mid entry kit for the young Lego builder.

Bought as a Christmas present for my godson as he is a Big Star Wars fan and this was a good introduction into the larger Lego sets. He had a great time building this over a couple hours and now takes pride of place in his bedroom.
