Slick and everything you need in a docking station

Very impressed with this dock. It's very slick and feels very would. Not cheap.

It connects via USB or USBC and unlike other cheaper docks it has its own power supply meaning you can attach multiple screens to it!

There are other cheaper docks out there but they are only extention ports and will not run screens.

Please see my photos for all ports it works with.

Great value for money compared to sell docks with are double this price.

A good product with limitations to be aware off

I bought that product to be able to switch comfortably from my gaming laptop to my work laptop. My goal was to wire everything to it (keyboard/mouse, sound system, my 1440p 144hz monitor, etc) and then just have to switch from one laptop to the other by just switching the USB plug. So I did that and it was working fine. Until I started playing games!
I could not play in that setup. The framerate dropped significantly to the point where it was impossible to play. Whatever I was doing, it wasn't working. So my guess is that having the video going through the USB cable was crushing the CPU of my computer, to the point where it wasn't able to handle it. The only solution to that was to plug the monitor directly to the laptop. So I find myself with an in between solution.
Everything for the work laptop is plugged to the dock, with a DP cable for the screen on input 1. When I switch to my gaming laptop, I have and HDMI cable going directly to it and I switch the screen input to 2. This way I'm able to sort of have what I wanted. Not being able to play through the dock is what made me remove one star.
But for any other things, it's working well.

I can confirm that this works on my M1 Macbook air running MacOS Big Sur (11.1) and using Displaylink Manager 1.2. Furthermore, it charges my mac without any issues at all.

I was able to run my ultrawide (2560x1080) at 75Hz without issue along side my standard 1080p monitor. While the image isnt 100% crisp, it is more than enough for every day tasks. This is more to do with displaylink than the specific product itself.

The unit itself is all plastic, which feels on the cheap side compared to something like aluminum - which would have been nice.

Omgggg... This is totally incredible thing which i didn't know before. I have two macbooks and ios and i was struggling to work with three of them at the same time. After i wild information searching i found the solution and after i found this product. First and really important for me thing to mention is the packaging. Very professional and good look packaged. The device it self in high quality and it totally suits to my work area. This docking station really made all my work much and much more easier. The resolution which it gaves to my laptop is something unreal. Very clean and looks amazing. Overall my experience with this docking device is perfect. I use it already 4 days and enjoying these fours days.

The latest addition to my work-from-home set up, and it's perfect. I needed an upgraded dock and this one had all the ports I needed.

Build quality is solid - the first thing I noticed is how great it looks and feels, and the casing is quality. Looks great on the desk and the colour is nice.

Main highlight is functionality - the ports are perfect (see picture), and no issues setting it all up. Having the ports split helped with cable management. No issues so far on a dual display, and very happy with it!

Packaging was also great and comes with 2x cables as a plus. Highly recommended, I am so glad with how it turned out.

I use this with my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 as a "home base." I have been working from home a lot lately and had been looking for a similar docking station as my previous docking station had stopped working. I have two external widescreen monitors (one running HDMI to HDMI, the other DVI to DVI, both at 1920x1080 - no differences between the two monitors), wired ethernet, another USB 2.0 4-port hub to connect non-power-sucking peripherals (keyboard, mouse, card reader), audio out, and a USB 3.0 card reader.

A single USB plug runs to my Surface to lasso all of this together. When I want to leave the house with my tablet, I simply have to unplug this single connection and plug it back when I want to work at my workstation. It has been working smoothly and have no resolution, display or audio issues.

Have had this product just under a a year and it has been working great. Not power delivery but I only switch between 2 devices so I have the power plug ready to go for the both of them.
Recently my front 4 USB ports have been unresponsive then responsive when I have USB devices plugged in. I had to switch my keyboard USB directly into the device I'm using because it sometimes recognises then disconnects from the USB ports on the dock.

Wasn't really keen to pay $200 for a hub but since it was powered I assumed it would let me use 2 displays, provide USB ports, and charge my MacBook (only has 2 thunderbolt ports, one of which is consumed by a yubikey, so only 1 free usb-C port on the laptop and that is how the laptop charges). Would rate 5 stars if it could charge the laptop, not sure why it doesn't. I have another hub that can charge the laptop but it only has 1 HDMI port, so now I have to use both - looks wonky - to get both displays working and charge the laptop.

After my Plugable docking station crashes my brand new laptop multiple times while trying to wake it up, I thought it was best to try something different. The Plugable used to take between 5 to 10 seconds to wake up the computer and all the monitors with a Windows sound for each device that is connected, but this one takes up to 2 seconds. It makes only one sound to wake up the computer and all the devices are automatically available. This one is about 75% faster than the plugable and my internet speed is about 40% faster than it used to be with the Plugable.

I doubted it because there's no DVI and VGA ports on this one, but I'm still able to connect 5 monitors on this one like on the Plugable and now waiting to receive a USB 3 to VGA adapter to connect an additional monitor.

Like all universal docking station, this one doesn't charge your laptop, so you have to plug it on the power outlet.

I wish there was a way to connect both my work laptop and my personal laptop at the same time so with just a push of a button to switch between laptop. Right now I always have to unplug one laptop to connect the other one. It looks like no docking station can do that yet.

One problem I found so far is that I cannot use DP and HDMI at the same time. If I connect to a DP, I lose the screens that are connected to the HDMI. That's not a big deal for me because I have the option to connect only to HDMI.

Only 2 monitors are able to display the resolution 2560 x 1440 and any additional monitor would display 1920 x 1080.

wonderful docking station

The best docking station I have ever used. Works seamlessly for my work laptop and my 27" monitors. With HDMI and DP outputs and enough USBs to handle all of the peripherals. I connected this with a peripheral switch as well to switch between Desktop and my work laptop.
All the other docks out there seem to provide only one or one with an HDMI that you have to end up buying another dongle/adapter to make it work. I don't know of anyone who has one of each monitor, so having one of each seems a bit odd. If you are going for dual monitors, usually you have one or the other, and Wavlink got it right.
They also got it right when it comes to setup and installation. I am using Windows 10 and I literally plugged it in to my computer and watched the device drivers get added automatically. I had to do absolutely zero configuration and installation steps, it just worked out of the box plug-n-play! I know there were updated drivers on the Displaylink site, but I didn't have to do it...everything just worked!
As for the displays, it actually seems like they became brighter and more clear than they were before. I have 2 DP displays running at 1900 x 1200 and the laptop running as well. The text was clear and I could not make the screen flicker or show glitches no matter how much movement I did on the screen, load down the Gbps Ethernet, or try to overload the dock. It all worked flawlessly.

I should have bought it long ago, but I wasn't sure about if they could deliver or not.
My laptop has a 4 k screen and I do have another screen dell 4 k 60 hz 27 ", 3 Hdd, mouse wacom tablet, and I do connect my camera in order to download images to my hdd. Before I have had all the outlets of my laptop occupied and I was disconnecting things in order to connect another device since laptop never have enough usb's , not anymore.
This device in particular has 6 usb 3, it does not charge your laptop via thunderbolt but there are no need, and the model who does, it does not have 6 usb 3 but 4, and 2 usb 2, so I chose to have as much as possible usb 3's .
I was very close to send it back since the 2nd screen dell 27" 4k 60 hz was going black when playing youtube 4k or netflix, but I plugged an Display Port 1.2 instead of the hdmi and voila!!, no problem at all, so I would recommend you choose carefully the cable you will use with this apparatus.
I do not do video gaming, maybe if you do, take a Display Port 1.4?,...just in case?
