It's unusual to plug something in that just works, but this one did. No mucking around, no googling, it just worked. All my Belkin WEMOs that I have had for 5 years are now Homekit enabled.

Once setup it works fine.

I bought mine from the US as they suffer the "Australian Tax" markup.

They work off USB power. Chances are you'll plug it directly into your router, and if it has a USB port then that will be sufficient to power the bridge.

With Siri I can name the plug and give it an on or off command, e.h. "hey Siri, pool pump off".

The reason I purchased this product is I am trying to switch to a voice control system for my smart home. I used to only control the device (Phillip hue, smart plug, lock etc) by the app. This product is only for the Apple user and I am a big fan of Apple (I have all product form them). The smart home product that is compatible with Siri is super limited (compare to Google home and Amazon Echo). I try not to switch stuff to other brand and that is the only reason I go with Wemo. I got 8 mini smart plugs from them and now I need a bridge to control if I use Siri. However, this gadget fails me. I used for a few days and it always says that it can't detect (keep on cutting off). it is acceptable if it fails a few times, but this is not the story. Returned and not buying any Wemo product anymore.
P.s. The Wemo app sucks!!!!!!!!!! If you are doing research and wanted to choose a smart home system, don't go with Wemo (Belkin), please. I have no choice since I have purchased 8 of them last year (Not much smart home products in the old time and chose to go with Wemo, tried a few other new product in the market and feel like Wemo is at the end of the market.

Newer plugs don’t need this anymore since last update. Keeps shutting down, unsyncing from HomeKit, need to restart often. Has a bug with HomeKit, devices appear in double. Disappointed in Wemo products, used to work in the past. Now buggy, update broke my mini plug.
