I've read 2 of these now, won't be reading another. So many unlikable characters. Almost everyone turns out to have an ulterior motive. And the location doesn't really ring true for me, maybe because the author is American. There are a few attempts at British English, but it feels like a passing nod to the setting, rather than a natural feature of the characters.
