To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

My son - aged 7 - is absolutely transfixed by this. He hates being asked questions about his day when I pick him up from school so we pop this on to give him a breather and we have a really peaceful and absorbed drive home. Had to collect 2 other boys as well on Friday and played it for all three - you could have heard a pin drop. They were quiet as mice all the way back listening to every word. I'm going to try some others - Lion, Witch and The Wardrobe maybe. Certainly doing the trick for us.

Chill out stories
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 September 2016Verified Purchase
Lovely version of a beautiful set of stories. Our child struggles to 'switch off' at night so was drawing and writing in bed. But still took ages to settle. By listening to an audio CD he actually calms down and after a chapter goes to sleep. He's also eager to find out what toad gets up to next.

The best version by far...

Alan Bennett brings to life each of the delightful characters of The Wind in the Willows. The lyrical descriptions are vividly portrayed, and nuances of humour highlighted.
I recommend it for children too...
This is a repeat purchase - the previous dvd set worn out from long and happy listening!
