With a compact design and a small price tag, Wyze sense is built to spark your creativity. Place contact sensors on liquor cabinets, safes, trash cans, cookie jars, garage door, and anything else that twists, turns, opens or closes. Motion sensors are great for bedrooms, bathrooms, or anywhere you don’t want to put a Wyze Cam.

I wish they’d use Zigbee for the bridge sensors. The bridge does have a fairly limited range despite the claim it can connect up to 100 devices. I live in a 3br house and the bridge struggled to detect the sensor from the front door to the back door.
Other than that they’ve been great!
However, people with different timezone should be aware of the camera/app can not be set to compatible to your timezone, as it can not work with 1/2 different timezone.
This will create confusion and could render your video evidence useless as time do not match.
I think this should be an easy fix by software, but for some reason Wyze team couldn't do it.
Info on this issue could be found on Wyze forum and the wider internet.
4months review: one of my sensors is stating the battery needs to be replaced. I've only had this since January so not even 4 months yet. Have contacted the seller via email. I'll await and post another review in the next following weeks. So far not happy.
I had two more from the V1 and they are working great after 1 year, and now gets better with the sensor system.
Easy to install, easy to set up and monitor.

Appreciate it if seller would be able to provide the contact for support. It seems its a bit complicated if bought in Canada.
If no response within this week, i will return for an exchange and will update the review.
2x Wyze Cam V2 1080P Indoor Smart Camera with Wyze Sense Starter Kit
1x Wyze Cam V2 1080P HD Smart Home Camera with Night Vision . . . . .
The sensors are very good: The cameras have good picture quality, (although I have not bothered to check their ability to do motion sensing); the motion sensors are adequately sensitive; and the contact sensors detect the opening and closing of doors every time. The iOS app is also very good. The setting up of the sensors using the app was painless and one of the better experiences I have had with gadgets.
These products are being sold on Amazon as "Smart Home" gadgets or systems. As such they are quite alright. However, Amazon categorizes them under "Surveillance", with the implication that these constitute a Security System or a part thereof. As a Security System or a part thereof, the Wyze system fails to measure up miserably. The problem is with reliability, and more specifically, availability. Here are the model and version numbers for the sensors and firmware I am using:
Wyze Cam v2, Firmware version: 220.127.116.11
Sensor Bridge, Bridge Firmware: 0.0.0.30
Contact sensor Plugin Version 18.104.22.168
A nice feature of the app is to group sensors and define rules for them; for example, I have two rules: "Arm" and "Disarm": these enable notifications or stop them. I use these to arm or disarm the system. One problem I have encountered is that the rules when run do not provide a robust feedback indicating whether or not they were successfully applied. The button just blinks a few times, and then stops. Occasionally, the rule won't have executed or applied. In order to overcome this problem, I "arm" the system before leaving the house, and as such if the rule is properly applied I get a few notifications as I leave (from the motion sensors and the contact sensor at the exit door). But there's a bigger problem: If I leave the house for a few weeks, sometimes, the internet may have a glitch, and sometimes it recovers and sometimes the router has to be rebooted. In either case, the Cameras may or may not come back up after the internet recovers with or without a reboot. Sometimes they do, other times they have to be power cycled individually; sometimes one comes up fine, while two have to be power cycled. Even so, the sensors associated with the sensor bridge (which is on the camera) sometimes won't come up even after the camera has been power cycled and is itself back up. Then I have to "reset" the camera from the app. That usually brings back the sensors, but not always. Sometimes, I have to use the pin to re-associate the sensors (motion, contact) with a sensor bridge. My experience so far is that if I am out of the house for 2weeks or more, more than 50% of the time, the Wyze Smart Home system will have disconnected wholly or partly, so that some or all of the cameras and sensors cannot be reached.
The Wyze Smart Home System seems like a really good thing in the making, but that needs work to make it qualify as reliable enough for a security or surveillance system.
The system was extremely easy to get going. Once you download the free control app from the Apple or Google Play Store and set up your free account, it is just a simple matter of following the voice and on-screen prompts in order to add the Cam and sensors to your account. I was literally done in minutes! No exaggeration!
I can’t get over just how TINY all of this hardware is in reality. The box the kit came in was so small I at first thought that I must have been short shipped. Its all amazingly compact stuff.
My rationale for trying the Sense Kit was different that most users here. I got this to be able to keep watch over my Elderly Mom to make sure she is alright and to give us some peace of mind.
It was very easy to set up notifications to show when doors are opening or closing or if they have been left open. I can really see this setup evolving once I start playing aroung with the Automated “Rules” potential.
One really great and totally unexpected feature was the ability to set the Wyze Cam mic. to send an alert if your existing Smoke or CO2 detectors are going off!! HOW GREAT IS THAT!! The Wyze Cam’s firmware sound algorithm recognizes the industry standard audible alert patterns that CO2 detectors produce. This is like having a Smart Home enabled CO2 detector WITHOUT actually having to buy and install one! Fantastic!!
I have only had this running for 1 day so far as of writing this, but the more features I come across the more I am pleasantly surprised and impressed!
I may come back to update this review from time to time and may even increase it. Right now I am giving it a solid 4 out of stars.
I am now bumping up my rating to 5*.
I have been running this system for a few days now and have had ZERO issues. The contact and motion sensors have never lost connection to the bridge and I have not had to reset anything. I get push notifications on my iPhone within 3 or 4 seconds of a sensor being tripped. The camera colour as well as night vision video quality is outstanding. I don't think that I would consider this a full-on "security system" but that was NOT my intended use and I don't think Wyze markets this as such in any event?
At some point soon, I think I am going to pair this system with an Amazon Echo Show 8 for my Mom.
I hope that Wyze will eventually have a greater Canadian presence and that their upcoming Wyze LOCK and weather rated cameras will show up on Amazon.ca
For what these cost (even given the big price difference between U.S. and Canadian buyers) the overall value this system provides is very hard to beat. For the peace of mind this system provides considering the app is free and that NO Subscription fees are required, I am extremely happy with my purchase and I highly recommend Wyze products!I
works great for the price. hope the battery really lasts one year. would love to buy sensors only (without the camera since I already had cameras - cloud storage not great, since it only sends a 12 second video every five minutes)
1st kit: 1 contact sensor went offline after 8 days.
2nd kit (the replacement): 1 contact sensor thinks it is "open" a couple of times a week BUT the door is "closed".
Samsung Smartthings hub and 3 sensor costs $200
Wyze camera and 2/3 good sensors is $73 so is less expensive...
