Wyze blame it on Amazon for selling the devices internationally.
The app is where it all comes to grief with it often not able to connect to the camera reliably so for example you get a notification which is 12 seconds long and you need to look at the footage on the SD card which generally works fine however it would probably be able to access it maybe 2 out of every 3 to 5 times.
If you go to the camera and pull the card you can get the videos however this is obviously not easy if you live kms away.
I have a Swann system at another property and it too has issues with the App and being able to connect so I guess its something that will get better over time as they figure out how to make it work.
However.. The 1080P resolution is technically true.. But the bit rate is rubbish. It's good enough to make out faces and number plates on cars. But don't expect this to look as good as a smartphone or video.
The app is okay, it does the job, heaps of settings to fine tune it for your environment. I'd recommend using the TinyCam Pro app though, it allows you to stream multiple cameras at once.
The night vision is good, real good (surprisingly). I've got mine mounted outside (I know.. They're not weather proof) and one of them lights up the front yard and with the second one covering its blind spot, the rest of the yard gets lit too. These can be used outside, obviously not where it'll be exposed to rain, snow and hail though. Mine have been fine outdoors for a few nights now at below zero (Celsius). I had some set up issues.. They support 2.4ghz ONLY. I'd recommend booting everything off of the network until you have the cameras set up, if there is too much network congestion, they won't connect.
Be aware, if you're buying in Aus, these come with a North American power adapter. So BYO for that bit (Kmart, $8)
Over all, they're amazing for the price, will be sure to by more. Would recommend.

Not a professional security cam but works well for the price, all you need is power and decent WIFI signal.
-good picture quality
-it might give you a hard time with microSD card
-app is the worst part. They should redo it and try and make it a lot more intuitive.
-"schedule" should have more options such as day of the week choices. Example, turned off on weekends and on
during certain times during the week.
-Won't work during power outage. (no battery)
update, 5 minute cooling off period makes this camera a toy. A lot can happen in 5 minutes and that delay between recordings and alerts is ridiculous. Get real Wyze.
Operation wise these are ok, not great but ok. I wouldn't expect more based on what they cost, basically the video gets blurred anytime there's motion. Other cameras that cost about slightly, like Amcrest, provide much better quality video but you pay for this.
► Using a TF card is simple, max is 32GB. Once the camera is set up in the app I was able to go into settings and format the card, then set up the recording scheme to utilize the it.
► The app has a good feature set and is very easy to use.
► Setting up the cameras via the app is also very easy and the system walks you through the few steps that are required.
► Kit contains everything needed to get the camera set up.
► Power cable is long enough to allow for camera placement on the top of our curtain rods.
► Remotely using the app has been easy and I've not had any connectivity issues.
► Small size makes them easy to hide.
► Cloud service recording option is nice for those who need or want it.
► The app allows for recording directly to the phone as well as taking snap shots as desired and then storing them on the phone.
► Night vision is good, the IR LED has enough power to light up the area I need to view.
Not so good stuff:
► The small size is great but they would more appealing if they had a softer more rounded look.
► Pixelated video when there's any movement.
► Because of the attached base extension section it's hard to get the right viewing angle sometimes.
► When the base is extended the camera leans forward at an odd angle and it looks weird.
► Audio, both directions, is poor. Incoming audio from the camera is muffled and camera speaker audio is super tinny.
► Motion detection can be good or bad. I've not discovered why it sometimes doesn't work.
► Mounting these is kind of odd when compared to any other similar camera. The "square" grey base has a magnet in it and the kit comes with a round metal base plate that can be screwed down or used with the included 3M adhesive pad. The camera can then sit on the plate via the magnet. The round plate allows for turning the camera in various directions plus being mounted on a wall.
► The grey base section is attached to the camera via a sort of one section extendable arm, this makes it possible to aim the camera up or down while the base it flat on a table top for instance but often makes lining up the correct view difficult. By this I mean getting a view that doesn't look like the camera is sitting sideways. The arm and base rotate but because the extension piece only has the one section the camera leans forward any time the extension is used. This makes it look odd and also makes the camera front heavy.
The bad camera:
The problem camera would power up and go through the usual steps but never connect to the WYZE cloud service so it could be added to my account. I was able to get on a call with one of their reps and this person was very helpful and courteous. We went through some trouble shooting steps but ultimately he told me to return the camera. Because they are located in the US and have no physical presence in Canada he suggested doing an Amazon return instead of paying shipping to the US. When I started the return on Amazon I had the option to get a replacement or return/refund instead. I opted for the replacement. I did return the defective camera and then ended up getting a direct replacement for my order which meant I got two cameras. I contacted Amazon and was told that since I had already shipped the defective unit I could simply keep the additional camera.
► Electronic items can fail, it happens. What's important is how the seller then responds and in this case they get top marks so I'm not taking any points off because I got a bad unit. I ended up getting excellent service and a free camera.
I wanted to connect one of the cameras to my Blue Iris soft NVR for local extended recording along with my other cameras. It requires installing a new version of the firmware which is simple enough to do, the process is laid out and easy to follow. It requires the use of a TF card to install the firmware update. It worked in the sense that the firmware update was successful )and the camera still work in the app), I can see the configuration switch in settings but there are issues. I went through everything numerous times but can't get the camera connected in Blue Iris. The software finds/detects the camera, how it's configured, and I've gone through multiple setting changes in BI but it simply does not get a video feed from the camera. I'm not taking any points here as this is not something the camera is sold to do, its just a curtesy for to those of us who want to do more with the camera.
Where I am taking a star is because of the video quality, it could be a lot better than it is.
These little cameras have been a great addition to our house. It allows you to view the video from your phone or other iOS or Android device.
The night vision quality is pretty decent considering the size of the device. We have one setup to view the front of the house and another to keep track of the dog in the house.
The motion detection is a bit too sensitive so we have the notifications turned off to stop it from blowing up our phones.
The picture quality is good but on the Android app, there is a 10-15 second delay when viewing 1080p live footage. There is no delay on 360p footage. This is probably a software bug that needs to be fixed.
