Perfect for TV / Movies via Xbox

If you use your Xbox for watching TV, Netflix, Blu Ray's .etc. then this is the remote for you. I actually first saw this remote on YouTube and had to try it for myself. At first, I thought it was a little expensive, especially when the standard Xbox controller has the same functionality. However, after receiving the remote, I was pleasantly surprised.

No more trying to figure out if I should press Y or X to pause a film or questioning how I open the Blu Ray menu - this remote has the standard Play, Stop, Pause .etc. buttons with relatable icons. It simply looks like a standard remote which a few more options.

Design wise, it is well thought through and has a nice backlight under the buttons, which lights up as soon as you pick up the remote - helpful when you have the lights dimmed for movie night! The back light will also turn off instantly, once movement has stopped.

Connection is a breeze; just hit the Xbox button at the top of the remote and you are connected!

Overall, I would recommend this remote to those looking to simplify their TV / Movie watching experience via Xbox.

Doesn't seem to work with all apps on my Xbox One

Tried it out this morning and this afternoon, worked okay with one app that I use, but when I was listening to a CD, I couldn't stop the CD with the remote, I tried A then B which works on my controller to pause and stop or exit out of the app, but would not work with the remote, so was forced to use the game controller to stop the CD.. I hope it works better on other apps I regularly use such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, so in saying that, not completely happy with it only working with some apps..

I use Plex on my Xbox One X and this thing is a dream. Keys light up when you touch (only con is the A,B,X,Y do not) and all the buttons needed are there. It is IR based so you need to point it at the Xbox still but it is a dream compared to using the controller.

Back lite buttons FTW!

Nice outer rubbery finish. Wont use teh bottom half buttons but prefer a longer remote over the smaller Xbox one which prob does the job fine but dont think it has auto on/off back lite buttons like the Talon which are great for dark room media experience.
