Answer:
I was using them in a PC build so don't have direct experience to answer your question. BUT looking on line it appears that iMacs require SO-DIMMS which these are not. You can however buy many other versions of 2666MHz SO-DIMMs.

Answer:
This is a difficult question to answer, considering there are multiple different models of the dell inspiron 5000, as an example you have:
Inspiron 14 5000 2-in-1 Laptop,
Inspiron 13 5000 Series 2-in-1, … see more
This is a difficult question to answer, considering there are multiple different models of the dell inspiron 5000, as an example you have:
Inspiron 14 5000 2-in-1 Laptop,
Inspiron 13 5000 Series 2-in-1,
Inspiron 15 5000 Series 15" Laptop,
Laptop just to name a few
You will first need to find more about it's exact model number for example, Dell Inspiron 13 5000 Series (Model 5368) 2-in-1 Laptop
Secondly: If by any chance it is a Laptop, this RAM will not work in it at all, it is the wrong size and type.
If it is a Laptop you will need to find SO-DIMM type RAM. See less
