They use a wireless network as opposed to a physical cable to connect for the video output. But they use a cable for power. This can either be to a socket or to a battery bank.

It depends on the size of the sd card, as soon as sd card capacity is reached,it erases oldest recording to make space of new one. It needs to be connected to wifi to access videos and for it to send you alerts. Yes,menu is in english since it is US based company.
