Answer:
Some excess profit being made here. I don't know what US import fees have to do with it. You can buy from Amazon.com (USA) for $37AU + $9.25AU shipping from the USA to Australia. I did. Note: You will need a standard 5V USB power plug to power it.

Answer:
the 12 second recording to the cloud(ie 14 days held on your app) does not cost you anything. It is preferable though you get a sd card 32 gb is what wyze recommend, this will enable you to record more, and review events/movements than the 12 seconds by selecting continuous recording.

Answer:
Hi there, this is the v2 and none of the Wyze cams came with an Australian plug as they are not made for the Australian market. You'll receive a plug depending on the seller. If it's from Amazon US (which only sells legitimate stock) then you'll be receiving the US plug.

They use a wireless network as opposed to a physical cable to connect for the video output. But they use a cable for power. This can either be to a socket or to a battery bank.

Answer:
No, I don't put my app on.
After I have set the alerts ,it doesn't need the app to be left open- I will get the appropriate alert and then if I want to check what is happening I will open the app
