Yes, I have my Echo (not dot) set up to play Apple Music and you can set it as your default music player. I don't see why you couldn't do the same on the Dot.

So yes, it will connect to a 5GHz wifi network.

You need to check where it is coming from, and if the information is up-to-date. With Covid-19 around the world you can't depend on anything right now, unless it's within your own country. You also need to check whether the item is made to order. That could account for it.

You need a smart TV that is Alexa enabled, such as an LG. If you don't have that, then the only way is by Blu-tooth, assuming your TV is Blu-tooth enabled.

Yes, it works as a bluetooth speaker. quite well too. I use it in my home office to conserve space on desk. my monitor doesn't have sound, and dot seems better quality audio than the laptop I use, and it obviously does a few other nice things as well.
