The old taylor has come back to the phone, and changed her clothes. Here we get bits of all the things that make a taylor swift record great, and indeed this record is great. We get swifts fantastic storeytelling and sense of melody in a folky incarnation without the sheen from her previous incarnations. This lets the songs shine and what great songs we get. Highlights include the fanstastic folk song betty where she even gets close to out folking dylan, the lovely Bon Iver duet exile, and the stunning invisible string. Which ones will be your favorites depend which taylor you want to come to the phone....she is definetely not dead...thank god for that and i'm glad she's making records like this

The whole album 17 tracks in total with the bonus one called the lakes which is only available on physical albums flows nicely it's a totally epic master piece by a multi talented lady seriously it's all killer no filler. Who knows what's next? 🤔 that's one of the many thing's I love about her no one can never truly know what she has up her selves( even her own record label) 😁😂😂😂😂.Queen 👑 tay has delived folklore completely out of the blue (or should I say Woods) 😁and its breaking records within the first week that's just based on streaming and digital downloads she really is the best artist/lady out there and a shineing light in so many people's lives I adore her with all my heart 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 enough said. Wow, this really is a fresh, new sound from Taylor Swift, and for me, all the better for it! I've always been a bit of a folky, and embrace a more mellow sound, and this new album ticks all the right boxes. It is beautifully sung and produced, with a lovely laid back vibe, and the songs are all strong. I've enjoyed her music over the years, but never been a huge fan, but personally speaking, this is the best thing she has ever done! I also love the fact that the photos in the booklet show her in a very different light, wearing simple clothes and without makeup, natural and unglamorous, much like the music on the accompanying disc. I can see myself listening to this album a great deal over the coming months. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this new release, but there are always one or two exceptions?! This is a 100% guaranteed purchase. A safe investment! Wonderful.

As a fan right from the beginning, I have to admit that T.S's recent offerings have not been up my street. Lover wasn't bad but Reputation was pretty poor. This however, is a different kettle of fish entirely. Beautiful, often folky songs with gorgeous arrangements. There really isn't a weak song on here. If you like Reputation, you may not like this, but if you like Bon Iver (who appear on one track), you'll love it. An outstanding album, give it a chance.
