Customer Review

I probably won't be able to get more than 50 hours of playtime out of this game compared to the main line entries. The cute graphics and the Pokemon Go like mechanics were refreshing at first but the novelty quickly wore off after a few hours. The catching to level up system takes the focus away from battling to my dismay, as that is the aspect about Pokemon I enjoy the most. There are only the Gen 1 Pokemon to catch and play with, and not a lot of postgame content.

Still, my kid brother likes it so I guess this appeals to kids. I'd recommend getting this at a discount, or skip it entirely and get Sword/Shield instead.

P.S. Get the Eevee version if you're sick of seeing the yellow mouse mascot all the time like me!
