I looked forward to reading Jane Harper's fourth novel. After reading "The Dry", "The Force of Nature" and "The Lost Man" I expected another 'tour de force'. "The Survivors lacked the suspense and tension of the previous three. The characteration also lacked the depth of the previous books. I kept reading it hoping for a spark of the previous work. I guess every author has a momentary lapse in their writing. Hopefully the next one will return to wonderful writing as in the first three.
