This has all the same narrative contrivances and plot devices as the author’s previous books. The characters are weakly defined and blend into a melange of sameness, to the point where it’s impossible to keep track of whom is whose brother/uncle/father/friend etc. The resolution is deeply unsatisfying. Was really hoping for more.
