The overall story was okay but the pace was much, much slower than the first book - which I absolutely loved. This felt long, drawn out and repetitive to me. I get it - this is a period of self discovery for both Hawke and Poppy and their relationship, and its all part of Poppy growing up since she's only coming up to her 19th birthday. I still found myself skipping several pages from 60% of the book until the end.
I'm actually on the fence now if I will read the third book when it comes out.
