For watching shows it works as described though the interface is somewhat clunky.
Main issue is that it seems to shut down every 2-3 days and you need to reach behind TV to pull out the power cord to reset it. There is no On/Off on the remote but not sure this would work if there was on.
Not my TV as the Chromecast has not been reset in some months.
Put a remote power plug on it to save having to keep reaching behind TV.
