I need to make a correction to the feedback left below. After trying various things, it turns out that the problem was the USB port that the docking station was plugged into on the laptop. I have made some changes and for the last couple of weeks I have not experienced any problems. Since then, the performance was as expected, so "mea culpa" for leaving an unfavourable feedback.

Since I purchased this docking station, I had nothing but problems with it. I have two Lenovo monitors and a Dell laptop connected to it. The monitors are connected to the DP ports. Several times per day, each day, the monitors freeze. After that, all the applications are transferred onto the laptop screen. I need to cycle power on the docking station to get the Lenovo monitors operational again. The docking station has the latest firmware and all the drivers including the ones for the monitors and video card are up to date. The laptop has 16GB of memory. Think twice before buying this product.
