My eyesight is crappy so I use the device for audible books which works well on dvds as well as mp3 discs/
The only problem I have found is the forward and reverse buttons the forward one goes forward by chapters
and reverse goes back to the start each time this could be the discs.
I would recommend this dvd player easy to operate and sound is excellent
