I was looking to buy a pair of cans to replace my now obsolete Bose AE2. I want to highlight some of the headphones' hidden features that might help you make a purchase decision.
First, the battery life of these cans is excellent. My wife uses Bose QC 35, and TaoT requires fewer power top-ups than the Bose. Second, the Bluetooth connectivity is excellent on these headphones. I can roam around the house without experiencing any connection drops. Also, by the time you turn them on and put them over your ears, they are ready to go.
There are two features that I would like to call out here. You can turn on-off ANC without connecting them to a device. I sometimes want to have a quiet moment without music, and in such cases, I can turn on ANC and enjoy the silence. Another feature worth mentioning is that you get a TRRS-TRRS cord in the pack to connect the headphones to devices that don't support Bluetooth. I have sporadically used it to connect the headphones to my desk speaker when I want to attend conference calls without affecting others at home.
Overall, for less than $100, I made a smart choice with these cans, which have the same features as some of the higher-priced brands and undercut them in price.
