Absolutely essential reading for everyone. It is tough to read but, as the author says, while it was hard for her to write the stories of women who have abused, their stories must be heard. I find this book disturbing, confronting, and incredibly enlightening. The suffering of women who experience domestic abuse, mostly from, men, is at a crisis in our country (Australia) and around the globe. The efforts that governments are making, while laudable, are not very effective. Something deep and lasting needs to be done. Don't make excuses for not reading this book. Get it. Read it. Act.
