I can't comment on the longevity of this item however just spent an hour using these for the first time OMG!, Worth every penny.Perfect for my 2M X 2M play area .I have left a little slack overhead so can't feel any tugging until I step towards the extremities of the play area and then it is hardly noticeable if at all when you engrossed in the game.

I was always getting the cable twisted round my feet and it would interfere with my game play. You still need to be aware enough not to twist the cable by turning in one direction or the other too much.
People have complained of having it wrap round their neck but this is caused by too much slack.

I imagine should the day come to remove the stick on hooks you may need to do a little painting or at worst plastering as the grip extremely well, still I went with those as I though the other option that would most likely pull out in time as the ceiling plaster is only 10MM thick.
A third option would be to go to the hardware store and get some spring out butterfly screws which would just leave a tiny hole to repair and would never pull out.

Highly recommend if you have been sitting on the fence go for it will just help in your immersion in VR.
