I have a number of TPLink products, and thought i'd extend and trial this camera as security camera, within my undercover living areas.
The quality of the video is good (1080p) and the ability to rotate 360 degrees is good too. the TP Link KASA app is still very user friendly.
However... The unit sometimes drops out of connection and i have to physically cycle the power to reconnect. It tries to update it's firmware (Which is apparently available) and always fails.
Sensitivity is out of whack. I have to turn it to 1 to not send me notifications, but if I turn sensitivity to 2 it'll notify me if my neighbour's neighbour's cousin's dog is active. (obviously an exaggeration). There's no balance there.
When it does send notifications, it often will be a minute or so later than when it triggered.
Overall... I will probably look at buying a different product and brand for my security. Glad i tried 1, instead of the few I was going to buy originally.
