I had an existing 4 PIN LED strip only controllable by remote. Bought this, plugged it in, connected it to 2.4GHz wifi (the only wifi it supports), using the app, connected app to Google home, told google to update all devices and voila, i was turning them on/off within 10 mins. Couldn't have been simpler..
Have bought multiple now and setup was the same across all.
