The WiFi adapter made connection to my home network immediately after the installation of the adapter driver and the adapter was plugged in. So far, there were a couple of drop-outs overnight for no particular reason. Connection was re-established after either troubling-shooting or rebooting. I do not know if drop-out is a long-term problem at present.
