Hawking offers a great overview of the universe as we know it, with science that doesn't get too detailed - which fits well with this book. However, there may be a few plain, boring bits and it can often feel like this should have been written with a tad more fun. The potential for humour is particularly apparent. It's like I want this book to be remixed by Douglas Adams.
Overall, good. I now realise how much we still don't know about the universe, and the short histories of Einstein, Galileo, and Newton were interesting and make me want to read more.
