As per the reviews, they are very good. But. My daughter lives in New York City and I wanted her to have them for her recent flight back from Sydney. So I bought a pair for her as well. I’ve just returned from visiting her. The swipe commands work, at best, infrequently. And they shut off every ten minutes when in use. So I contacted Sony USA. Their attempts to have me reset them only seemed to make the problems worse. Their final suggestion? She, literally, fly back to Sydney with them if she wanted Sony to help.
These headphones are being sold from unstaffed vending machines in the international departure lounges of New York City airports. Plainly the target market includes air travelers and people about to board a flight out of the country in which they just purchased the product. I’m surprised that a global company like Sony takes this attitude. Very likely my last Sony purchase.
