If you receive notification that your payment method requires verification, you must complete the authentication process before we can proceed with fulfilling your order or completing your transaction.
If your payment method requires additional verification, you'll see this option as you complete the transaction, for example, during check-out, or we'll send you an e-mail asking you to verify your payment method. You can verify your payment method by clicking on the Verify button in your e-mail, and following the instructions on our website to complete the verification process. Or, visit the Orders section in Your Account:
If the payment method can't be verified within the time noted in your e-mail, the order will be cancelled. To reorder, you'll need to begin the process again, for example, place a new order, or select Buy Again next to each item in the "Cancelled Orders" page of Your Account.
If you, or someone authorised to use your account, did not place an order and you receive an e-mail from Amazon requesting you verify your payment method, please Contact Us. You can find more information on account security on our Help Pages.
