Couple of nice recipes but unbelievable that in order to actually make a something in this book are you told to refer to their first book for the recipe, are they serious? I personally Thought that was outrageous when I was reading the this book... so basically they've written a recipe book that requires you to refer to their previous book..... Not good lads. Also some of the measurements are very strange and they don't explain themselves well at all, to the point that I couldn't actually do one of the recipes and even sent them a message asking for help, but no reply. 400grams of cooked lentils, store brought, but they don't tell you what the measurement is for un cooked, so for those of us that don't buy ready cooked lentils and actually have the ability to boil them up ourselves the book is waste of time. So I have to cook a pile of lentils with no idea how many I need and then weigh 400 grams.... Stupid!!! Another irritating point about this book is they always use store brought ingredients like ready made sausages rather than an actually recipe for vegan sausages. Way too much frying going on in the book also. I have also noticed from their previous book that many of the recipes are very very similar if not even repeated and only slightly changed, they're clearly trying to cash in, but people will cotton on to this eventually. One of the recipes I tried was for the vegan steak and it was a disaster that just fell apart into a disgusting pile of fat. I'll stick to my way of making them in future and not try theirs again. If you really can't cook anything this book may help you for a couple of things, Otherwise there are brilliant vegan apps that in my opinion are way better and free, with correct measurements.
The book makes many references to shop bought plant-based sausages which seems like a cop out and some recipes (such as the roast dinner) are made up from other recipes in the book, which seems like a way of using up space. I was expecting to learn new vegan recipes but this book is more about substituting classic dishes with vegan alternatives. I wouldn’t recommend.
Nice pictures, don't rate recipes very highly though. Been a Vegetarian all my life and Vegan for 2 years, you need a lot of ingredients for most recipes in the book, but you need very little to be a true Vegan x
I was disappointed with the first bosh book so not really sure why I bothered with this one. I’ve cooked a couple of the recipes which were ok. Most of it is quite uninspired. Ok, not the worst cookery book but definitely not the best.
I was very disappointed when this book came. I had searched on ‘vegan Christmas’ and this book came up with the banner at the bottom saying it contained Christmas recipes. It does but only a few pages of the book are dedicated to festive fare.
Hard to make recipes because everything you have to covert to us measurements and even some of the ingredients you have to google first. Wish they made it easier for people in the US, when selling and advertising to make people want it. Overall kinda disappointed of the amount of effort to make one recipe out the book.
