Parent training failed? Try this.
Reviewed in Australia on 26 July 2016
This book is for those parents who have tried all the usual parent training and found it doesn't work for their child. This is an easy to follow, no-nonsense step by step framework for helping to curb the explosions and work collaboratively with your child to solve the problems causing your child to misbehave or explode. Whilst Ross Green does lay out a clear framework for his approach, many parents may oppose this approach and find it difficult to do. However, his rationale is logical and clearly laid out. I suspect the parents who have tried everything and whose families are falling apart due to their child's explosions will find this book the relief they are looking for. They won't argue too much about the theory, they'll just want something that will restore peace, improve their understanding of their child's outbursts and repair the lost relationship with their child. Whilst all parents can gain something from this book, for the above mentioned parents, this book will be nothing short of a revolution.
