All I want is a healthy family cookbook! And unfortunately this is not it and my quest continues! I hoped it would be a great go to book for mid week family meals, unfortunately the majority of dishes would cause too much trauma at the dinner table! Back to my Tana Ramsey family kitchen which all of us love!
Faffy recipes that take too much silly prep and we were not really impressed with the results. I mean please, why do i have to push plum tomatoes through a sieve at the end of a busy day when everyone is hungry. Not for us.
Really disappointed with the latest Jamie book - have a number of his previous books, always something to cook or to consider. This is clearly jumping on the health eating bandwagon - Who wants to eat chocolate porridge -( I'm afraid the picture doesn't do it any favours at all) Another section covers of to eat advocado in about 20 ways (yawn) there was absolutely nothing in the book that I would want to make, sorry Jamie I'll keep using your other books.
I bought this having been a great fan of Superfood. I was hoping for some more family friendly recipes that I could tempt by 2 and a half year old with rather than having to faff around and make her a separate meal. I'm all for kids expanding their taste buds but nearly every single recipe has chilli in it - not ideal for littlies. Great recipes but really not for families.
