The public targeted is no doubt of high school level and the book is short, to the point and easy to read.
The points of view conveyed are conventional. The playwright’s intent is seen as valuing true love in this story of a thirteen-year-old and a sixteen-year-old meeting Sunday night, marrying secretly Monday afternoon and both committing suicide Wednesday night.
