Please refer to my review of "The World Of Cyberpunk 2077" for a more in depth analysis of the content. So, my initial impression of the book was I personally think this is the new standard of computer game merchandise, It's practically flawless. I was so impressed I went and pre-ordered the Collectors Edition of the game and then I ordered the Deluxe Edition of the book.
Now, the Deluxe Edition. The case the book comes in is probably the best bit with the graffiti on it from the various factions in the game. The Hardback is nice and the black-tinged pages are cool. The poster is ok as are the post-cards. Honestly, it's alright but for the ££££'s I would get the "normal" version. There isn't enough content to justify the price. The book and its content/information is 5 star plus, this edition of the book, meh.
Edit 23.10.20 I paid £68 the other week and now its £58, that kind of thing really annoys me.
It's a nice book but most of the pages in my copy we're stuck together along the edges once separated they were fine it was just time-consuming I don't know if this is a problem when they were cutting or if the ink wasn't driving book was pressed
My only complaint is the price. I couldn't find the collectors edition anywhere due to the usual "limited" stock quantities; so I figured this would be a neat alternative.
The book is large, hardcover, colourful, well made, and pretty awesome. If it was $50 CAD I'd have been much happier - but I splurged on what is probably a limited print run compared to say your standard paperback.
loved the cover of the book and all the little details about the game universe. Only complaint is that the pages were sticking to one another. Might be that the ink didn't dry well before they started packaging the books out but no damage was done when peeling the pages apart. Great book but a little too expensive for the asking price.
The all black pages stick to each other and cause damage to themselves. A hit in the gut when you spent over 100$ on a book. I'm considering returning it but, I don't know if the replacement will have the same problem, maybe even worse.
I still recommend the book mind you. I wish it'd be even thicker! I really appreciate it.
