To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought this book a while ago and is has met and exceeded my exceptions of it. Everything I have cooked from a recipe has been absolutely delicious and my husband has loved the flavours as well. This will be my go to book till I have used every recipe and then I will probably start all over again
I’ve been watching the Whole Food PlantBased Cooking Show on YouTube for about 10 months now. I was very happy to see Jill announce her new cookbook. I really like the recipes that I have made so far, i.e. “The Mother of all Gluten Free Breads”, the Kale Chips, and “The Green Bean Casserole”. I will be trying more recipes this weekend. I like the way the book is laid out with clear type so you can read the ingredient list easily - and the big photos are nice so you have an idea what it should turn out to look like. I collect cook books and this one is really a good one. I highly recommend this book if you are a vegan as there are tons of great everyday recipes, or if you just want to try some really healthy plant-based SOS (Salt, Oil, and Sugar free) recipes that are easy to make.
I made the “Hummingbird Cake” for my birthday and we loved it. Many great recipes and so I thought this book would be a great gift for my sister, however, when I came here to order it, the price had gone up to over $60. I paid under $24, let’s get real here, no way am I going to pay that exorbitant amount. Shameful.
There are definitely some neat recipes. A quinoa flatbread and a flavoured lentil flatbread at the beginning were pretty cool ideas. The e-book has good links. I would eat all of this food, but I don’t know if I would recommend it to those uninitiated with whole-food.

In this book, Jill and Jeffrey Dalton have written down the most delicious recipes from apple caramel cake, garlic tahini dressing to thai green curry. And all equally tasty. The recipes are very clearly described and illustrated with beautiful photos.

To be completely honest, I returned this. I love the authors and the content they create. I was excited to buy the book but honestly found nothing new that couldn't be found for free on their website and YouTube channel. Purchase if you want to financially support their content but don't expect anything new.
Recipes are amazing, very healthy, my toddler loves them at well. Highly recommend them, which is why I still gave 5 stars.
