To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
There are some good points in the book but she writes in a way which comes across as rude and condescending to the reader. Particularly if you don’t agree with everything she has to say or her way of life.
I believe it’s good to read a variety of books and from different authors - even if they challenge you. She does that but not (in my opinion) in an enjoyable or over insightful way.
She mentions complex theories without explaining them and many of the studies she references are not true studies - some are references to news paper articles which reference the study.
I wouldn’t recommend this book but it’s definitely personal taste, maybe some people like the way she writes?
Engaging and brilliantly balanced between personal memories and research, I loved every minute of this book. Sarah Wilson is unapologetically angry and it’s impossible to read this book and not be fired up to. Highly recommend.
This book is a well crafted integration of important information for our times. It is activating and inspiring. And hard to put down. Everyone should read this book and allow it to stretch their mind open.
