Neil young would probably be fantastic 'Live' - as it's a stage show but listening to 'WELD' isn't quite the same experience and I actually think 'Ragged Glory' was a lot better. I'd say "If you want him 'LIVE' Then go see him"
I'm a huge fan of Neil Young but I never had a real live cd with Crazy Horse. This is the fine voice of Neil with grunge guitars. Very entertaining and good stuff. But why is there no Blu-ray with this concert? I'm truly waiting for it. There are some dvd's but quality of the music and the picture are rather poor. I can't follow Neil Young now he is trying to set a new standard for mp3 but good concert on blu-ray, a product that he used before, he does not deliver, it's a shame Ludo Belgium
Absolutely rocking. Neil Young and Crazy Horse never fail to deliver a rip roaring show of musicianship. I had never heard of Weld before and bought it on impulse but i was very impressed with it. The playing is tremendous, the sound is raw but blistering on a good stereo. I just have to play it loud.
I love the grungey Neil with Crazy Horse and this album contains great versions of tracks from Ragged Glory era Neil such as Love and only Love and Mansion on the Hill. A bit disappointed with the version of Like a Hurricane which is inferior to the versions on Decade and LIve Rust.
