I had some older Pendaflex folders and the paper is considerable thicker. These recycled ones are very thin in comparison.

The metal hanger doesn't compare either. Older Pendaflex was longer and designed better to slide and stay on track.

It's ok, buts it's worth more like five bucks consider this downgrade in quality. Looks like they're making money off their wide selection of colored recycled paper. I'll be buying more, but not this brand.

Folders are fine, but box only had 13 in it

Just arrived and the folders seem fine, also seem to match the existing ones we have even though I don't think we previously bought the ones made with recycled paper.
The problem was that the box only had 13 instead of 25. It seems like this was probably a pilfered return that someone made, since factory quality controls would have caught this overly light box. While it was simple enough to make an online return request and to soon drop it off somewhere, it doesn't negate the waste of my time to do so and the delay of actually get the product I can use.
On one hand I applaud Amazon for their effort of processing and reselling returns, rather than just dumping them as has been covered in the news lately (search online news stories on 'The True Cost of Returns For Retailers'), but they should make a better effort to confirm the restocked items are suitable for resale. In this case the box felt almost empty and looked sunken. Just peeking in is clear that there's clearly only a few items in the box.

Other than having more folders in the box, they are not as sturdy as my older ones. Those held up for several years, plus they had folds to flatten the bottoms that made more room to expands. Some things need to be seen before buying for quality.

I am giving these file folders 2 stars strictly because the colors are so pretty but for me, otherwise, these are a total fail. They are extremely thin and flimsy ... much more so than ANY others I have ever had. I planned on re-doing all my many files with these cheerful ones, but just knowing how much many of my files currently hold I can not imagine these holding up with even a moderate amount of use. I just wish I had not gotten excited and opened more than one of the packages before it occurred to me that (imo) the quality is not what I wanted, or I would return them. Ugh.

I should’ve read the reviews before I purchased!!
I wanted the bold, black hanging folders shown and not these dark grayish folders that came.
Even the box shows the true black folder.
Pretty disappointing.
They’re flimsy and thin, but that’s ok since they are made from recycled materials. I just got these so I’m not sure how durable they are yet.
If you want true black folders, these are not it.
