Excellent plunger, just the Steel Bar or Aliminum Bar is very weak, and got a dent from my thumb on first use. I’d pay for titanium. It has 3-4 dents and partially bent Bar now. We have a faulty toilet - new law is dual flush, 0.2gal for liquids (not enough), and 1.2 gal for solids (not enough) - it could also be the water only comes out of one spot. I want a high pressure like in a commercial setting. They are 1.6 Gal Per Flush, but they WORK, as it’s 40-120PSI.
Side bar - local sanitation district is having to do maintenance on the lines, dredging/scraping, flooding sections with tanker trucks full of reclaimed water or city water or untreated canal (river water) whichever is more convienent, and pump stations are getting clogged from not enough water. I believe in reclaimed water use, and would like to have access to it for watering, as it’s cheaper, and it’s not taxing resources. I’m jealous a friend, has access to cheap canal water (untreated for irrigation, livestock, and water treatment plants along the way - canal is 100 years old), however their installing purple hydrants, I’d hate to have that mess if my home caught fire.
arrived but looked like it was used with scratches all over the rubber base portion. so either it's made very cheaply or this was a return from someone else. either way. i cannot recommend this brand. also had a sticker on the label but not the kind that easily comes off. and it's not my job to scrape a label off for 20 minutes after buying someones product. i changed it for a new brand, one that was made in America.
I don't understand why so many people seem to love this plunger. Yes, it works better than the cheap plastic plunger i had before, but not as well as I'd hoped; certainly nowhere near as well as the countless enthusiastic reviews had led me to hope. Based on performance alone, I'd give it 3 stars. Perhaps more importantly, it is literally a pain to use: the hard plastic swivel top hurts your palm if you use the plunger as you would any other. I've tried holding it on the side, but it is more awkward to do so. I think I'm being generous in only subtracting 1 additional star. I had noticed the review that called attention to this critical flaw but I bought it anyway. My advice: don't make my mistake. Even if this plunger worked better than any other, it still wouldn't be worth it.
Forget all the hype. This is a toilet plunger that works the same as one you can buy for 5 bucks almost anywhere. I like the metal handle but that's about all I like about this.
It does not seal well in the toilet. Each plunge shoots geysers of water in any direction. After a vigorous session of plunging it leaves black marks all around the toilet drain which must be scoured later. It may work better in some other toilets, but I have three that are identical and it works poorly in all of them.
I had hoped that for the price that this would somehow be a better plunger than all the rest.
Whew. I read other reviewers' comments about the smell of the rubber, but was still surprised by how bad it is. The device itself is fine, works as you'd expect. I had to put it out in the garage as the toxic rubber odor is bad enough it cannot be in the house.
My old plunger works just as same. Nothing special. I have one toilet that constantly clogs and thought this would work better and be more forceful than old plunger. Old and new work the same and both require numerous attempts and much effort to unclog. If u do not need a new plunger then don’t bother buying this one.
Purchased in 2014 but we quickly realized this wasn’t as effective or easy to use as the good old standard ones. The plunger head isn’t large enough and we have to try many angles, many times to get it to work. Last night we could only find this one, post move, and it took us 20 awful minutes. I’m online today to buy 3 more plungers and they won’t be this brand.
