The idea of a security pouch is great, and I was looking forward to using it during travel, but the product didn't work from the get-go.
On day one, the zipper got stuck, then the lock froze up, and the key got stuck in it. This dud then took up extra useless weight and space in my suitcase for the balance of the vacation, without serving the security purpose it was bought for. It's possible that I just got a one-off dud, but it's turned me off trying this security bag again.
One star for the product based on my experience of it, and 5 stars for Amazon, which took the product back when I got home, and promptly refunded me.
This product contains cancer-causing chemicals (carcinogens) based on the warning disclaimer on the product specification, which is available on the manufacturers website but it wasn't mentioned on the product page on Amazon. I returned it immediately.
This bag would be worth five stars if its most important component -- the lock -- worked. In my case, it worked for a little while, with some effort, but then completely refused to work at all. I'm surprised that a company with "lock" in its name makes such a crappy lock. I've had plenty of balky locks in my long life, and 99% of them eventually yielded to liberal applications of WD40, 3-in-1 oil or spray-graphite. This one resisted every one of those, plus about a half hour of persistent, gentle fiddling. The key now just won't go all the way into the lock, and when it did, it would sometimes be difficult or impossible to pull out. That should have been a warning of what was to come. C'mon, Master Lock -- how hard can it be to manufacture a lock that actually works reliably? I'm past the return period, so into the garbage it goes. Frustrating!
UPDATED review 10/22: Don’t waste your money. The zipper splits and opens randomly and the fabric on the side has come unstitched which has left a gaping hole along the seam. Also, the key gets stuck in the lock. I open this bag maybe once a week and expected a lot more use out of it. I’ve had it for 2 months. This product is useless and a complete waste of money.
Overall, good quality but my zipper catches and sticks. I may be able to lubricate it or something to make it zip easier but I shouldn't have to do this with a product meant to secure money. The last time I used it the zipper split but I was able to realign and it works fine. I have no issues with the lock and the material is thick and durable.
Terrible product. I knew it was going to be tricky when I couldn't even get the key in the lock under two minutes. When I finally DID manage to jerk the flimsy key into the lock, I realized the actual locking part didn't even line up. I'm currently struggling to just remove the key from the lock. There is no way I'd be able to open and close this pouch every morning, I'd pull my hair out in frustration.
And what, may I ask, is the point of having a lockable pouch if said lockable pouch can be cut open with basic household scissors??? What a waste of time and money.
Had to return the bag wouldn’t un-zip the way it was supposed too, and the keys would not go in the lock to unlock the bag.,finally got it to go in and lock & then it took forever to get it back open, thought I was going to have to cut it open. Used soap on zipper sometimes that helps the zipper slide more easy, didn’t help. And sprayed wD 40 on lock to help on key insert & removal, that didn’t help either, so unfortunately I had to return the bag. And I really liked the bag it was a smaller size and would slide in my handbag to carry out to bank.
