I ordered this to replace my old mp3 player that recently gave out on me. I basically only use it when working out, cleaning house, etc. I bought this listed as "like new, 90 day warranty." All lies. I plugged it in to my computer with the provided "new" charger as the instructions stated. It didn't seem to be charging so I left it plugged in and came back to check on it about a half hour later only to find that the battery had basically ruptured. The player casing had completely popped open. I have never been able to use it. Never even powered on. I attempted to seek possible battery replacement via Microsoft since I did really want to give it a chance and thought possibly the battery was just bad. I was taking the seller at their word that there was still a 90 day warranty. I was then informed that there was no warranty on this product. I feel I was lied to by the seller (EverythingDeals), I now have no choice but to send it back and hope for a refund. I am extremely disappointed in this purchase.
wish I had seen the product reviews on this Refurb before I purchased this. We had the same problem as everyone else, Product will not hold a battery charge. It works until you take it off of the computer or charger and then will not even turn on. We tried many different things to try and make it work. Also, when registering the zune.. it said that 90 day Refurbished warranty had expired in August. We now have an extremely bummed out little girl on our hands who received this from Santa for Christmas. We are returning for a refund.
Liked the look of this and it arrived new and well-packaged; however, that was the extent of any positive experience with the Zune 4GB digital media player. After downloading the Zune software I attempted to charge it but it would never charge or even turn on despite using several USB ports on two different computers and attempting to charge for a long time. Have since read other reviews on this product and it appears to have a lot of problems--if I do purchase another digital media player it won't be this brand.
What a piece of crap. I hate the software. I hate that it takes two hands to turn it off and on. I hate that it doesn't start up where it left off, you have to go though the whole menu to get back to Songs, when it's clear that you never go anywhere but Songs. The written manual tells you nothing- be prepared to go online to find out how to operate it. And that includes turning it off and on. The battery life is too short. I bought mine last November to replace a dying Zen that I loved and here in May, I'm having problems charging it. Oh, and don't forget to check for your updates. Must keep it updated. But it does have good sound. If all you want is decent, portable music, look elsewhere.
We have received 3 different pink Zunes. None of them would hold a charge. The seller informed my husband that they have been having problems w/the pink ones, but not the other colors. I'm going to try a different color and hopefully it works. I'm disappointed though, because I really wanted PINK!
This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned............from day 1, I've had nothing but trouble, I have contacted Amazon, Microsoft and taken it to Best Buy Twice and the thing still does not work. I'd forgotten about it until a couple of weeks ago until my MP3 player died and I wanted something to take to the gym and dug this put. It's out of warranty now, never mind that they've got documentation showing my complaints!
i bought an mp3 player and the mp3 player was messed up because it would only turn on but when its plugged. ived send many emails and i havent got a reply from them, so i was just wonder what i could do because i would like my money back. i send my mp3 player and it looked like they didnt even look at it i got it back and it was still the same not working besides when it was plugged.
zune 4GB MP3 would not charge from my computer, had to wait for charger which I ordered seperately from Amazon two weeks before christmas received it a week after christmas only to find out that the MP3 player would not hold a charge. Returned MP3 on 01/12/11 for an exchange have not heard anything so far. I am not ordering from Amazon.com again.
